Intro

Vint & York is an independent eyewear label based in New York City known for its vintage inspired eyewear.

As a contracted freelance designer, I collaborated with the founder to design their licensed limited collection with Smithsonian. The collection launched in Summer 2018 and received media coverage from Forbes, AOL, and Vision Monday.

Inspired by the vast Smithsonian collections, each frame was inspired by a piece of historical artifact from the 1920s-1960s, ranging from a vintage Tiffany pendant to an airplane. Vintage eyewear shapes were redesigned into contemporary styles, with unique details that call to the characters of the inspiration.
